Dear Friend,
I hope this message finds you well! I’m eager to share an exciting next step in my journey with Kids FIRST, and the promising future ahead for our organization.
After 13 incredible years with Kids FIRST, including more than half of those years as Executive Director, I am thrilled to announce that I will soon be stepping into a new role as Managing Director. This transition will allow me to refocus on the deeper program work that fuels my passion while engaging in important statewide initiatives, including legislative workgroups, to expand our reach and impact.
Most importantly, this decision will allow me to spend more time with my daughter, Scarlett, who entered Kindergarten this fall. As you know, time has a way of slipping by, and I’m eager to take part in all the moments. ❤
Together, we have accomplished so much—more than doubling our team, purchasing our permanent home, and growing our budget to invest in expanding our prevention, intervention and healing services for children impacted by abuse. These milestones are a testament to our incredible team, an engaged board of directors, and you, our village of supporters, all of whom demonstrate unwavering commitment to children in our community. With this tremendous growth (and we’re not done yet!) comes the need for additional leadership and support.
As we embark on this new chapter, we are seeking a visionary Executive Director with a background in law, healthcare management, business, or a related field, and a passion for child safety and well-being. You can learn more about the position here on our website. Please share this opportunity with your networks, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—I’d love to grab coffee with you!
I am confident that the best is yet to come for Kids FIRST, and I can’t wait for you to see it!
Applications are due Sunday, November 3, 2024.
See Position Announcement for related directions.
